RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revealed Benaud-Qadir Trophy for the upcoming historic Test series between Pakistan and Australia.

According to PCB, the two boards have dedicated the ‘Benaud-Qadir Trophy’ trophy to two of the most distinguished cricketers, Abdul Qadir and Richie Benaud.

“Benaud and Qadir were two skilful, distinguished and immensely respected cricketers of different eras, who served the game with honour, pride and distinction,” PCB wrote in its statement.

“Benaud got wrist-spin bowling noticed and recognised as an attacking and wicket-taking option, an art that was subsequently taken to the next level by Qadir with some incredible performances against high-quality batters at a time when express fast bowlers were ruling the roost,” the statement further read.

Pakistani captain Babar Azam and Australian skipper Pat Cummins posed with the glittering trophy here at Pindi Stadium.

Later on, the two teams practiced here simultaneously to get ready for the series, penciled in from March 4-25.
