Pakistan Makes Favorable Pitches for Fast Bowlers – Pakistan vs Australia
Pakistan Makes Favorable Pitches for Fast Bowlers
Australian star batter Usman Khawaja has said that Pakistan makes favorable pitches for fast bowlers and unlike other countries in the sub-continent the role of spinners is limited in Pakistan.
“The role of spinners is more in other countries of the sub-continent as Pakistan makes favorable pitches for fast bowlers,” Usman said in an online pre-series press conference.
Shedding light on the conditions in Pakistan, the left-handed aggressive batter said that the pitches in Abu Dhabi and Pakistan are different from each other.
“The current Australian team has never played in Pakistan so it will be a new experience. Rawalpindi’s pitch is conducive for fast bowlers but this time different pitches are expected,” Usman said.
The 35-year-old hopes to perform well for the Kangaroos in the three-match Test series against Pakistan, scheduled to kick off on 4 March.
“I hope to give performances in all three Test matches,” he added.
Talking about the Pakistan Super League, which concluded on Sunday after Lahore Qalandars beat Multan Sultans to clinch their maiden PSL title, Usman said that “the best team in the PSL was declared as the winner”.
“I woke up in the morning and saw the highlights of the PSL final. The best team in PSL was declared the winner,” the opening batter said.
